Sōen is a senior design desk for agencies and studios that don’t have one, or need one more when it’s busy. Years of taste and the discipline to match, without the hire: no onboarding, no bench time, no salary in the quiet months.
What comes back is finished Figma a developer can build from without a meeting. Most of my work is for agencies across Northern and Central Europe, some of whom I’ve worked with for a decade.
Send what you have: the brief, references, a call if it helps. And the boring answers up front: is there a brand, or are we making one? Is there photography, or is it stock? Paid or free? Those are what stall a project, not the design. I ask my questions early, then get out of your inbox.
Finished Figma: every page in every state, style guide or design system when the brief calls for one, ready to hand to a developer without a meeting. Thorough, on time, and reachable. I built my own layouts for years before handing them off, so I draw with the build in mind. Nothing arrives that cannot be made. When a revision comes back that I think is a mistake, I’ll say so, once, and why. Then I’ll make the logo bigger if that’s what your heart desires.
I’m Margus. I’ve been at this a long time: logos, branding, posters, print, you name it. Websites are the mainstay. I like a good, thorough brief, and if you want someone who just gets the work done, with minimal faffing about, I’m your guy.
A few of those agency relationships are ten years old now. By that point I know their taste inside and out. I’m designing for their eye before the end-client ever sees a page, and their clients keep coming back for the look we’ve built together. Off the clock it’s quieter: music since my teens, which is how the plugin interfaces happened, and a game I’ve been building on my own for years, the place where the taste gets tested with no client in the room. I’m the ghost behind the work, and I like it that way.
